#016 MUTUAL EXCLUSIVITY

MUTUAL EXCLUSIVITY

Mutual exclusivity refers to a situation where inclusion of one thing necessitates exclusion of some other thing. We cannot expect the theories of Adam Smith and Karl Marx to co-exist. The market forces of demand and supply rule the roost if we choose Smith. Bureaucratic inefficiencies crop up, if we chose Marx. Every choice has its own benefits. The technological benefits we enjoy today may be the fruits of Capitalism. Would we have had better benefits, had we chosen Marxism? (Six sentences.)
